MYSTERIOUS AVEBURY

A massive Neolithic Stone Circle complex with a diameter of nearly half a km , Built circa 2000 BC with what would have originally been with white chalk banks of 7metres high and a ditch of 9 metres deep an unimaginable 16 metres from top of bank to bottom of ditch roughly the height of 3 double decker busses, constructed over several hundred years.

Most visitors to Avebury only touch a very small amount of it from the surface this is a massive complex that covers many square miles of the landscape made up of spring fed streams and rivers, Silbury hill , the stone avenues which one will take you towards the Sanctuary and the West Kennett long Barrow.
