Introduction to Wild-light-Design

Wild-Light-Design is a division of Wild-Light Group.
It acts as an art and design hub for a range of lighting and concept design projects from concept realisation to presentation, such as illuminating and creating events in ancient buildings, and at locations which highlight aspects of history and the natural environment.

Specialist Areas of Wild-Light Design.

Lighting concept and design for Grade l and ll listed buildings.
Architecturally based projects, presented as art installations, that incorporate lighting, sound and projection.
Natural locations, such as woodlands, which can also be developed as interactive educational projects.

Wild-Light-Design Director

Wild-Light was founded by 'Concept Light and Space' designer Mitchell Mclean.

In 1995 Mitchell gained a BA (hons) degree in ' Museum and Exhibition Design' at the Humberside School of Art, Architecture and Design.

He continued his education with the study of 'Space and Light' at the Bauhaus Akademie School in Dessau Germany.

After graduation he worked for James Gardner 3D Concepts before movipng to Paris 1997.

While in Paris Mitchell was involved in a range of international projects which included events design; music videos; installations; fashion exhibitions; interior design, both residential and commercial; galleries; returaunts; sculptures and paintings.

He returned to the UK in 2008 and set up Wild-Light in 2012 and has developed an innovative avenue of work by combining his design skills with a depth of knowledge of historical architecture and nature to create unique and exciting oppertunities for interactive education.
